Review: Undercover Bromance

As I have mentioned previously, I am not a fan of romance novels and while these books are romance novels, the premise of them also makes them campy fun.
The Bromance Book Club is a group of some of Nashville's most high profile men who rely on romance novels (aka "the manuals") to help save their marriages. In this second book, book club founder and the only single guy left in the group, playboy Braden Mack is ready to settle down with his latest girlfriend. However, his attempts at winning her over end up with him going home alone - and getting fellow book club member Gavin's sister-in-law, Liv, fired from her pastry chef job at a swanky restaurant.
Trying to make amends, Mack agrees to help Liv, who is naturally opposed to this, bring down her former boss with the help of his bros in the book club.
The plot is not complicated but parts of this book had me laughing out loud, making it the perfect book to read while enjoying the late day sun poolside during a spring break getaway. Parts of it I found to be a bit farfetched - namely the character traits of Mack that no one had witnessed before. But I love the easy camaraderie between the men and the more complex relationships Liv has with her sister and best friend.
So far, I've found this to be a fun series, but one I can also sadly see not having enough material for more than a handful of books.
